Jake was a Postdoctoral Research Associate working on the Mobile phone App Development for Drought Adaptation in Drylands-MADDAD project from 2020-22 and then a Senior Research Associate with the EU H2020 DOWN2EARTH project from 2022-24. He is now a Lecturer in Computer Science at the University of York
Jake holds an EngD in Human Computer Interaction from University College London. Prior to this, he completed an MSc by research and BSc in Computer Science at Durham University. He has also worked at the Interactive Technologies Institute (ITI) in Madeira, Portugal. His doctoral research focused on how technology has changed video consumption, and how it fits into people’s everyday lives. Outside of work, he enjoys playing guitar, camper vans, and keeping fit.
